How Will Ghana's Black Stars Rebound After Recent Disappointments? Kurt Okraku Speaks Out

Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku has addressed the recent performance of the Black Stars following their two international friendly matches against Mexico and the United States of America.

Ghana's Black Stars: On the Rebound...

Despite securing a place in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the Black Stars have struggled to meet expectations under Kurt Okraku's leadership. They finished at the bottom of their group in the 2021 AFCON and the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. However, the team's disappointing display in the friendly matches against Mexico and the United States of America prompted Kurt Okraku to speak out.

In a Facebook post, Okraku expressed his concerns as a devoted servant of the game but remained steadfast in his belief that the Black Stars would make a triumphant comeback. He stated, "Our Black Stars must rise again, but I'm a troubled servant."

In October 2023, the Black Stars suffered a 2-0 defeat to Mexico and a humiliating 4-0 loss to the United States of America just three days later.

Looking ahead, Ghana is set to face Madagascar and Comoros in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers scheduled for November.
