Mo Salah on his relationship with Trent Alexander-Arnold... |
Liverpool has started the Premier League season strongly, which is a welcome change from their struggles last season.
Some new signings, like Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister, have seamlessly integrated into the team, and star players like Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold are performing well.
However, both Salah and Alexander-Arnold have attracted interest from other clubs, with Liverpool rejecting a massive bid for Salah.
Currently, there is a risk of Alexander-Arnold leaving the club, as Real Madrid and Barcelona have shown a keen interest in him. Nevertheless, Liverpool is working to secure him with a new contract.
Reports suggest that negotiations are progressing well, and Liverpool is confident that the deal will be finalized before Christmas. If successful, Alexander-Arnold's weekly wage could increase to approximately £250,000, making him one of the highest-paid full-backs globally.
If Real Madrid fails to sign Alexander-Arnold, they may turn their attention to Reece James from Chelsea, who is also one of the top right-backs in the Premier League.
However, Chelsea is likely to demand a substantial transfer fee for James, which could pose a dilemma for Real Madrid. Missing out on both Alexander-Arnold and James would be a significant setback for Real Madrid due to their exceptional talent.
